Good Spirits News Gives Cierto Two “A” Ratings
By Frodelicious
Cierto Tequila Private Collection Añejo – Deep oak-driven nose with a solid backbone of agave. On the palate, the agave shines with a sweet vegetal flavor and mellow caramel character from the barrel. A smooth entry, round mouthfeel and extra long finish, ending with a somewhat tannic dryness. A flavorful sipper that keeps the essence of Blue Weber in the forefront.GSN Rating: A
Cierto Tequila Private Collection Extra Añejo – Very dark aroma of tequila soaked wood stave, offset with brighter high notes of agave. Upon tasting, there is a burst of oak forward characteristics: caramel, char, toffee, light roasted coffee bean, and a hint of cocoa. The body is medium, with a somewhat sharper entry than the añejo. Finish goes on and on, with a very wood forward, yet sweet fade. A contemplative tequila that pushes the boundaries of aging.GSN Rating: A
